RE: Tailgate Stolen Off Pickup Truck

I had the tailgate stolen off my Ranger many years ago... parked in my driveway, backed up against the garage door when we were gone for the weekend. I couldn't believe how much it cost the insurance company to replace it... along with the huge hassle. Someone suggested the hose clamp idea - definitely makes it much more difficult to get the tailgate off. I'm sorry for your loss... definitely brings back memories.

RE: MI- Family Camping rally, Memorial Day '09

We had a great weekend there... there was Lake Huron access available across the road from the campsite and all the kids had a blast on the beach, in the pool and at the playground. We had ~25 families all with twins or more and there was definitely plenty to keep everyone entertained. A few suggestions... there are no large trees or shade because the campground is so new so be prepared... we threw an ez-up on our site and were glad that we did. If you do decide to venture into Lake Huron (which will likely not be an issue that early in the year) it is pretty rocky so bring your water shoes. The campground was not close to full while we were there but the pool was still pretty crowded late afternoons. Other than that... the bathrooms, store and facilities are all brand new and in great condition. We would definitely go back and camp there again. Not sure about Memorial Day Weekend yet but it is still a possiblity.

RE: MI- Family Camping rally, Memorial Day '09

How funny... we are actually leaving for this campground tonight for our annual twins club campout that I coordinate. Jill has been fantastic to work with and I am super excited to actually get there. We took a ride up there to check out the campground last October and their facilities are very nice. I'll let you know how things go after the weekend. I'm not sure what our plans are for next year camping but I will definitely talk to my husband about the option. We have twins who are 5 and a 2 year old. They love making new friends and camping with other kids!

RE: Jayco Eagle Super Lite

We have a 2007 JayFlight 305BHS - the JayFlights were rebadged as the Eagle Super Lites for 2008. We just got it at the beginning of the season and have only had it out a few times but so far we love it. The floorplan works great with the kids - love that there is a solid door on the bunkroom so that we can move around at night and not disturb the kids sleeping. We had a few minor issues that the dealer has been very responsive on. Just cosmetic items - everything functions great. It is definitely a lightweight unit and the materials/quality may not be what you would get in the more expensive lines but it was a perfect fit for how we are going to use it and we have been very happy with our decision.

RE: Jayco 305 BHS

We bought an '07 closeout a few months ago. Cannot wait to get out for our first trip... two and a half weeks and counting. I hope that they accept the offer!

RE: 07 Jayco 30.5 BHS bunk bed sheets

We do the same... you end up tucking a lot but I couldn't see paying for special sheets. Especially since my kids want to sleep in their sleeping bags most of the time anyway.

RE: bunkhouse 5th wheel

We just got a 2007 Jayco Jay Flight 305BHS - which changes to the Eagle Superlight 305BHS in 2008. We wanted a lightweight bunk house model for weekend camping trips... with 3 kids, quad bunks were a necessity and I required a hard door between the main living area and the bunk room. We are waiting for a little bit warmer weather here before we take it out camping but can't wait to try it out. Good luck with your search!

RE: Quality built RV at the right price

We were looking for the same thing... we have three kids as well and wanted to have 2 sets of bunks. We ended up choosing a Jayco 305BHS... actually, we are going to pick it up from the dealer in a few hours!! We found a 2007 on the lot that we were able to get for less than $25,000. My biggest requirement was a solid door to the bunk room so that we didn't have to worry about being too quiet when the kids were sleeping! Good luck with your search.
